PDGFs are disulfide-linked dimers consisting of two 12.0-13.5 kDa polypeptide chains, designated PDGF-A and PDGF-B chains. The PDGFs are involved in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development.
Recombinant human PDGF-AA contains 358 amino acids and the predicted theoretical molecular weight is 41.2kd.
Determined by stimulating the absorption of adenosine by BALB/C 3T3 cells in a dose-dependent manner, the ED50 value is ≤2 ng/mL.
