Lentinan is purified β-glucan from Shiitake mushrooms, also used as adjuvant. Lentinan is used as an immune regulator and to treat bacterial and viral infections and cancer. Lentinus is currently approved, in combination with the cytostatic tegafur, for the treatment of gastric cancer.
