Biological Activity

Chlorpromazine hydrochloride is an antagonist of D2, 5HT2A, potassium and sodium channels. The Ki of Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride to D2 and 5HT2A were 363 nM and 8.3 nM, respectively. Chlorpromazine hydrochloride also blocks hNav1.7 channels (IC50=25.9 μM; concentration-dependent) and HERG potassium channels (IC50=21.6 μM). Chlorpromazine also excites the 20S proteasome. Chlorpromazine hydrochloride also can inhibit clathrin-mediated endocytosis.

*The compound is unstable in solutions, freshly prepared is recommended.
