Amodiaquine is a 4-aminoquinoline compound related to chloroquine, used as an antimalarial and anti-inflammatory agent. Amodiaquine is a histamine N-methyltransferase inhibitor. Amodiaquine also suppressed ICH-induced mRNA expression of IL-1β, CCL2 and CXCL2, and ameliorated motor dysfunction of mice.
