Albumin, Fatty Acid Free

This product is bovine serum albumin (Fatty Acid Free BSA) without Fatty Acid, its Fatty Acid content is very low (0.02%), easy to dissolve.

Avidin (from egg white)

Avidin is homotetrameric protein (68kDa) that is obtained from egg whites. Avidin forms an extremely strong complex with d-biotin (Kd ~ 10-15). This activity has made both avidin and biotin extremely useful labels in immunochemical methods of detection and quantitation.

DTT

Dithiothreitol (DTT) is a redox reagent commonly used as a reducing agent for thiolated DNA. Dithiothreitol (DTT) is also used to reduce the disulfide bonds of proteins. DTT is also an inhibitor of disulfideptosis.

Glycerol

Glycerol is a clear, colourless, viscous, sweet-tasting liquid. Glycerol is used in sample preparation and gel formation for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.

Gelatin (from porcine skin)

Gelatin is a heterogeneous mixture of water-soluble proteins of high average molecular masses, present in collagen. Gelatin has been used in many applications. It has use in coating cell culture to improve attachment of cells, being added to PCR to stabilize Taq DNA, as a blocking reagent in Western blotting, ELISA, and immunochemistry, and as a component of media for species differentiation in bacteriology.
